Biography

Denver's legendary Tequila Mockingbird delivers a genre-defying sound with infectious songs powered by the irresistible vocals of front woman/songwriter/rhythm guitarist Wendy Clark, lead guitarist Don Millan, bassist/vocalist Whitney Rehr, and the backbone beats of Rob Cameron. With songs that range from power-pop and crushing electric blues to alt-country to ska, this four-piece force has been delivering a perennial ritual of playful, intense, intelligent, and sophisticated trademark 120-proof Colorado Whiskey Roots Rock since 1996. http://tequilamockingbirdmusic.com/

Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers - Better Beautiful Than Perfect (by boarderb)

We can hear the bossa nova
We can sway the night away
The steps to the dance are best left up to chance
Better beautiful than perfect, anyway
And while the moon wanes and waxes
Death and taxes are lurking out there
Life is grand, Love is real and Beauty is everywhere

I get to play three shows with my favorite guitarist, dear friend, and hero… Since I remember sitting on his leopard print rug with my brother when I was 3 or 4 years old. Here’s to life and you, Brian Blush.

Next Thursday, at The Toad Tavern, we rock.

OK Go: A Tiny Desk Concert In 223 Takes

We needed to figure out the best possible way to move NPR Music’s Tiny Desk from our old headquarters to our new facility just north of the U.S. Capitol. So we had OK Go perform “All Is Not Lost” hundreds of times, as we transported the Tiny Desk from one home to the other.
